Violoncello Method 3

Vol.3 is a continuation to the Cello ABC and Cello tutor 2. The volume is clearly grouped, attractive musical material and the chapters contain both simpler and more demanding works so that the teacher can choose the material to suit students' abilities. The primary aim of volume 3 is to provide the groundwork for clear and confident playing in the first four positions, so there are no new tasks which link to bow-handling or rhythm. The material is organised in the order of the positions, beginning each position with the most essential technical exercises, then progressing from easier works to longer and more demanding ones. Much of the material includes duets and pieces with piano accompaniment, which enable the teacher and pupil to make music together.
