Kensington Chimes Music has a vacancy for a Full Time Sales Assistant
Based in our branch in South Kensington, as part of our vibrant and busy team.
We are looking for applicants who ideally have retail experience. A very good knowledge of classical music is essential along with excellent inter-personal skills. All applicants must be computer literate, and confident at learning how to use new systems. Experience of using an EPOS system or similar sales and stock management software is desirable.
On a day-to-day basis you will be in front of shop, serving people in store and over the telephone, as well as processing orders and answering enquiries via email. Simultaneously new stock needs to be checked in and shelved and orders prepared for despatch. Once you have gained experience, it is likely you will be able to take responsibility for some areas of the shop and or stock. Due to the nature of the shop it is essential that you are comfortable dealing with multiple tasks/ queries at any one time; therefore, you should have a methodical and calm approach. We are also looking for someone who would be keen to help with our social media.
